As the African ‘Tree of Life’ the Baobab is sometimes called the upside-down tree.
With its roots reaching towards the sky and its trunk storing life through the harshest conditions, it has long been a symbol of resilience, wisdom, community, and renewal.
At The Baobab Project, it reminds us that the challenges of our time cannot be solved with more of the same thinking. We need to turn that old thinking upside down.
And meaningful change begins beneath the surface — in how we see ourselves, one another, and the systems we are part of.
That's why our work starts from the inside out.
The world is changing faster than the ways we have been taught to lead, learn, and work.
Many of us can sense that business-as-usual is no longer enough. We are looking for more conscious, relational, and regenerative ways of responding to the challenges of our time.
The Baobab Project creates spaces where individuals, leaders, organisations, and communities can explore what becomes possible when we learn, relate, and work differently.
You may be a leader, educator, entrepreneur, employee, coach, changemaker — or anything in between.
You may even be successful by conventional measures and yet find yourself asking deeper questions:
- How do we create a future worth leaving for our children and grandchildren?
- How do we lead with greater purpose and integrity?
- How do we create organisations that serve life rather than extract from it?
- How do we learn in ways that truly transform us?
- How do we navigate complexity with wisdom, courage, and compassion?
- How do we connect with others asking these same questions?
- How do we find what we know we have lost in our dominant modern society?
